Christoffell Jacoby (1709-1786) was born in the Rhineland in Germany. He came to Germantown, Pennsylvania in 1739. He married Johanna Elizabeth Eberhardt. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Also traces family of John Adam Schneider (1696-1746), born in Hohenburg, Germany. He came to Philadelphia in 1737.
